Mount Merapi

Mount Merapi is a volcano in Central Java and is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesi. This mountain has a summit elevation 2968 m asl, in 2006. Slopes in the south of Yogyakarta, and the rest in the region of Central Java province, in Magelang regency, Boyolali and Klaten district.

Historically, the first volcano eruptep in 1006. From years 1006 to 2010, Mount Merapi eruptep 84 times as much. Magelang city and the city of Yogyakarta is the nearest large town, is under 30 km from the summit. On the slopes there is still a settlement to a height of 1700 m and only 4 kilometers from the summit.

Mount Merapi is the object of a populer climb. Nature lovers from aboard many climb the mountain. The most frequent route is impassable Selo, Boyolali, Central Java. The vallage is situtated between Mount Merapi and Mount Merbabu. Climbing through Selo takes about five hours to the summit.

Although Mount Merapi is very dangerous, but not the least of the climbers from domestic and from abroad who climb this mountain. Behind the ferocity, stored extraordinary beuty. View from the top of Mount Merapi is amazing. Expanse of white cloud that surrounds Mount Merapi was fascinating.

Mount Merbabu


Merbabu is a type of volcano Strato. Merbabu in Magelang district on the western slopes and partly in the district of Boyolali, Central Java. Merbabu has a height of 3142 meters above sea level. Merbabu derived from the word "Meru" means mountain and "babu" meaning woman.

There are 2 pieces of the peak Sharif peak (3119m) and Songo Kenteng peak (3142m). Merbabu quite popular as a venue for climbing activities. The terrain is not too heavy but potential hazards to watch out for hikers is the cold, thick fog, dense forest.

Grojogan Sewu Tawangmangu


Tawangmangu Falls, our destination this time... Tawangmangu Waterfall is the object of a tourist destination at the foot of Mount Lawu with ± 1100 M height above sea level. This waterfall has a height of about 81 meters. Tawangmangu Waterfall often called Grojogan Sewu Karanganyar District is located in Solo, Central Java.
Distance Solo - Tawangmangu about 42 km, and can be reached about 1.5 hours, while the distance from the Yogyakarta-Solo about 65 km and can be taken approximately 1 hour.
